Franklintown Covered Bridge was located in Baltimore County only about 300 feet from the Baltimore City line. The bridge crossed Dead Run Branch and was replaced by a concrete bridge in 1928.
From an article in the Baltimore Sun on October 17, 1937: "Two covered bridges, at least, once stood within, or upon the very edge of, the present limits of Baltimore City. One of these, a bow-string at Franklintown, is still fresh in many memories, for it was replaced only in 1928."
