River Valley Ranch Covered Bridge is located about 7 miles northeast of Manchester, Maryland. The bridge measures 27'-7"in length and is 10'-10" wide with a roadway opening of 8'-10". It crosses the South Branch of Gunpowder Falls where the Falls meet Muddy Creek not far from Prettyboy Reservoir. This is the second bridge at this location. The first one was lost during the Agnes storm of 1972. The bridge was originally listed as MD/20-03-03 in Baltimore County, but it actually resides in Carroll County about 700 yards west of the Baltimore & Carroll County boundry line. River Valley Ranch is a summer camp & retreat facility for youth that has been in operation since 1952. River Valley Ranch welcomes visitors. Please be respectful of their property.
